In this three part series, Dawn will discuss types of devices, email services, passwords and they types of places you can access; patient health portals, apps, brain games, and music.
In the first program, Staying Organized and On The Go! is the focus. We will discuss using the calendar to manage appointments, schedule exercise, and the integration of maps. Medication apps and reminders will be reviewed. Finally, we have some fun and talk about brain games to keep you sharp!
Get Up and Get Moving discusses using different applications for nutrition (weight loss, blood sugar counts, water intake), fitness (walking, yoga, tai chi) and the newest trend wearable technology (Fit Bits - where technology is headed for seniors).
Mindfulness gets into the human side of technology. Mediation apps are discussed and we meditate for a few minutes. We talk about music and how it reminds of happy moments. iTunes, Pandora and Amazon music are reviewed. Finally, we talk about journalling - reviewing positive thoughts and documenting the events and stories you want your family to remember.
